Cedarville University Students Named to Dean's List

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Some 3,072 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address.

Students were nominated by faculty and staff and must be full-time and in good standing with a minimum 3.2 grade point average. The nominees must demonstrate an effective integration of the four strategic signature learning attributes of an Elizabethtown College education: relationship-centered learning, international and cross-cultural perspectives, real-world learning and purposeful life work. Evidence of the integration may include learning achieved through an advising or mentoring relationship, international study or cross-cultural service project, an internship experience, a campus or community leadership role, or a challenging research project.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

University of Scranton students inducted into Omega Beta Sigma, the women's business honor society. Induction is open to students who major or minor in business, have at least sophomore academic standing, and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The University's honor society was established in 1982.

The Lebanon Valley College Concert Choir proudly announces its 82nd annual spring tour from March 18-25. Conducted by Dr. Matthew Erpelding, the 60-member ensemble will give multiple concert performances and choral music workshops in the central Pennsylvania area.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade earn the fall 2017 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
